Beijing Live - Lincoln MKX Concept
The Lincoln Motor Company, having announced its entry into China today, has shown the Lincoln MKX Concept at the 2014 Beijing Auto Show. The Lincoln MKX Concept previews a global SUV and is the third of four all-new Lincoln vehicles due by 2016.
The vehicle is inspired from airplanes and motorcycles, says Lincoln, to create an athletic and emotional design.
The concept's design elements include LED-accent lights, separated front skid plate, high ground clearance, bolstered wheel arches, sloping roofline, a high waistline, deep side undercuts, high roof racks and 21-inch aluminium wheels.
At the rear, the vehicle has been given full-width taillights. The interior and the powertrain have not been discussed, except for that it would be fitted with a panoramic glass surface for surplus light entry. A feature confirmed for the MKX is the 'Lincoln Experiences' which has approach detection and a smartphone application to interact with the vehicle, among other features.
