And you thought a car cannot perform a stoppie? Here is a video of a Daewoo Damas (rebadged Suzuki Carry/Omni), apparently in stock condition, lifting off (in the wrong direction!).

Regular Indian Autos Blog readers would have seen an old Australian Carry eat its own tires like an SLS AMG in a monstrous burnout.

The Daewoo Damas featured in the video seems to be very stable even under stoppies and handbrake turns. The compact MPV even takes up the humps in a rally course without ending up on the roof!

Performing all these in a tall and short MPV definitely calls for commendable stunting skills, exactly what BBC television presenter Richard Hammond didn't have in an episode that was planned to determine the best used van in the UK.

The Daewoo Damas has been in existence since 1991. The small MPV is present in markets such as South Korea, Uzbekistan, Vietnam and Central America. Unlike the JDM Carry which is powered by a 660cc petrol engine to comply with the Kei car norms, the Damas is powered by a 0.8 litre three cylinder petrol engine, the same unit as the Maruti Omni.

The Damas is available as a passenger carrier, panel van and a pickup (called as Labo). The car hasn't witnessed much of mechanical or cosmetic changes but just like the Omni, it has earned a reputation for reliability.

By the way do not try this at home!
