Exclusivity is one of the biggest luring factors when it comes to the hypercars. It would feel divine to be one among the 375 people in the world to own the McLaren P1, wouldn't it?

McLaren has announced that only 375 units of the P1 will be built, making it more exclusive than the Ferrari F150 which will have 499 copies plying the roads or adorning the elite's garages.

The Woking based supercar maker and F1 specialist has also announced that the P1 will be priced at $1.3 million while Ferrari F150 is rumored to cost €1 million. Both the cars will be unveiled on March 5th at the Geneva Motor Show.

The McLaren P1 is powered by a hybrid powertrain which comprises of a 3.8 litre V8 petrol engine and an electric motor which have a combined output of 903 bhp and 900 Nm. The car will take less than 3 seconds to reach 100 kph from rest (hello superbikes!), 200 kph in under 7 secs and 300 kph in about 17 seconds.

The P1 can also be driven for 20 km on pure electric mode at an average speed of 48 kph.

Both the McLaren P1 and the Ferrari F150 have hybrid powertrains, both develop power in the vicinity of 900 bhp, both are limited edition models, both are spiritual successors of their hallowed ancestors and then both are going to be launched on the same day and at the same venue!

Now that is one hell of a coincidence! I envy the Geneva show goers!
