The MG EZS is the all-electric version of the ZS. It will launch in Thailand later this year and is even expected to make it to the Indian market by this year's festive season.

The MG EZS is the all-electric version of the MG ZS. It debuted at the 2018 Guangzhou Auto Show (November 2018) and looks a fair bit likes its donor. That said, a part of the seemingly standard grille can be slid upwards to gain access to the charging port.

Powered the MG EZS is an electric motor that drives the front wheels. It outputs a maximum power of 110 kW (150 PS) and a peak torque of 350 Nm. The powertrain draws its juice from a 44.5 kWh battery pack that takes 6 hours to charge entirely through an AC charger. A DC fast charger can replenish up to 80% of the capacity in just 30 minutes.

The MG EZS is capable of accelerating from 0 to 50 km/h in 3.1 seconds. It has a claimed driving range of 266 miles (428 km) on a single full charge. The EZS offers features such as a panoramic sunroof, an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment unit, and a rotary drive mode selector on the central console.

MG Motor India will enter the local car market with the Baojun 530-based MG Hector, reportedly in May this year. It is being said that the MG EZS, which will become the carmaker's second model for India, will launch in October this year. As per a report, the carmaker will import CBU units of the all-electric SUV from China, with the first batch comprising 250 units. In India, the zero-emission SUV is expected to cost roughly INR 25 lakh and go on to lock horns with the Hyundai Kona, which is also slated to launch later this year.
