Italian two-wheeler manufacturer Moto Morini announced at the Auto Expo that it will sell two of its products in India, the Scrambler and the Granpasso, through Vardenchi's retail network.
Moto Morini Scrambler
The Scrambler is powered by a 1,187 cc V-Twin, liquid-cooled, fuel-injected, four-stroke engine producing 115 hp at 8,500 rpm and 105 Nm of torque at 7,000 rpm and comes mated to a 6-speed gearbox. The adventure motorcycle measures 2,140 mm in length, 850 mm in width and has a ground clearance of 180 mm. The Scrambler weighs 200 kg (without fuel).
Moto Morini Granpasso
The Granpasso is also powered by the same 1,187 cc engine as the Scrambler and comes with a similar 6-speed gearbox. Power and torque outputs of the Granpasso stand at 116 hp at 8,400 rpm and 103.6 Nm at 7,000 rpm respectively. The Granpasso measures 2,200 mm in length, 930 mm in width and features a 200 mm ground clearance. It weighs 10 kg more than the Scrambler.
Both motorcycles will be imported into India via the CBU (Completely Built-up Unit) route. Prices are expected at INR 26 lakhs.
