After the performance motorcycle segment, Motoroyale Kinetic is reportedly planning to develop a 300-500cc product in India by 2021. The manufacturer aims to introduce the model in the INR 2-3 lakh price bracket that will place it against the likes of KTM 390 Duke and RC390, TVS Apache RR310, and Kawasaki Ninja 300 among others.

The plan to introduce a new product in the 300-500cc segment was confirmed by Ajinkya Firodia, Managing Director, Motoroyale Kinetic. The finer details are yet to be decided and more updates are expected to flow, as we get closer to 2021.

The company is also expanding its capacity in the country with a new assembly plant. Located at Supa, Maharashtra, the plant will have a capacity of 60,000 units. Currently, all products that are imported via the completely knocked down (CKD) route are assembled at the company’s Ahmednagar plant in Maharashtra. The Kinetic Engineering property in Ahmednagar has a capacity of 8,000 units.

Motoroyale Kinetic offers products from MV Agusta, Norton Motorcycles, SWM, FB Mondial and Hyosung. In October 2018, the company launched seven new motorcycles in India. The range of motorcycles launched in India includes SWM Superdual T, FB Mondial HPS 300, Limited Edition Norton Dominator & Norton Commando, Hyosung Aquila Pro, Hyosung GT250R, and the MV Agusta Brutale 800 RR.

Firodia told media:

We will be importing and selling only 37 units of Norton bikes – Commando and Dominator models – as a limited edition. All the 37 bikes will have only the parts used to make the bikes in Norton's UK plant. After that Norton brand bikes will be rolled out of our facility here for Indian and other neighbouring markets.

The source report also revealed that Norton's 650cc motorbike, as confirmed by Firodia, would be launched in India in 2020. The motorcycle would be made in India with localized components. He said:

The domestic market may be small for the vendors to look at supplying components for the bike. But when there is a possibility of Norton sourcing components for its global operations then the volume and price will be attractive for the auto component makers.
