Spied - New BMW M3, M4 spotted in India for the first time, launching soon
Powered by a newly developed 3.0-liter twin-turbocharged engine.
The new BMW M3 and BMW M4 were spotted by Team BHP member 'BraveArc' in India. Previously, sources told Indian Autos Blog that the new cars would launch in the month of November this year.
The global reveal of both cars was held at the Detroit Motor Show this year, following which BMW has been launching them in a phased manner worldwide. They're powered by a newly-developed 3.0-liter twin-turbocharged six-cylinder engine which produces 431 bhp between 5,500-7,300 rpm, and 550 Nm of torque between 1,850-5,500 rpm.
The transmission can be chosen between a 6-speed manual or a 7-speed double-clutch automatic. Irrespective of that, both cars do 0-100 km/h in under 5 seconds, with an electronically limited top-speed of 250 km/h. Thanks to the use of carbon fiber in certain areas of construction, the new M3 and M4 weigh under 1,500 kg.
