Images of an unannounced model from Chinese brand Great Wall Motors, which sells one of the world's most bought SUVs, the Haval H6, has popped up on the web. Called ‘Great Wall Euler R1’, this tiny eco-friendly car is a pure electric vehicle.
The Great Wall Euler R1, although new, seems familiar to us because of some of its design details. Those cutesy round headlamps are reminiscent of the JDM-only Suzuki Alto Lapin, the surfacing of the closed upper grille has hints of the Hyundai Kona Electric, the rounded ORVMs are naturally MINI-inspired, and the tail lamps and the proportions remind us of the Smart forfour.
The Great Wall Euler R1 measures 3,495 mm in length, 1,660 mm in width and 1,530 mm/1,560 mm in height. It has 2,475 mm wheelbase. It’s a strict four-seater, of course. Powering the electric vehicle is a 35 kW (47.59 PS) motor. The pint-sized green car has aerodynamic 15-inch alloy wheels wrapped in 165/65 R15 tyres and weighs 990 kg.
The Great Wall Euler R1’s electric motor gets its juice from a ternary Lithium-ion battery, but the capacity of this battery and the driving range provided by it on full charge are unknown at the moment. It can achieve a top speed of 102 km/h. The complete equipment list isn’t out yet, but we do know that the EV features LED DRLs, rear camera and ABS.

The Great Wall Euler R1 could go on sale in China by early 2019. Its production takes place locally, in Baoding (Hebei province).
