Opel Grandland X showcased at IAA 2017 - Live

The Opel Grandland X has been launched at the 2017 Frankfurt Motor Show. The prices start from 23,700 Euros in Germany.

Opel Grandland X front three quarters at IAA 2017

The 1,447 mm-long, 1,844 mm wide and 1,636 mm high Grandland X gets distinct SUV-like proportions. It features the Adaptive Forward Lighting (AFL) LED headlamps. The wheel arches come with plastic cladding for added off-road appeal. The roof gets an optional two-tone finish as well. The rear features sleek LED tail lights and silver underride protection with integrated tailpipes on the left and right. The SUV gets a wheelbase of 2,675 mm and a luggage compartment that can be expanded from 514 to a maximum of 1,652 litres.

Ergonomic heated front and rear seats; heated steering wheel; Opel OnStar service assistant; Android Auto and Apple CarPlay compatible IntelliLink systems and wireless charging for smartphones are some of the notable interior features. The vehicle comes with a foot-operated tailgate as well.

The Opel Grandland X comes with two engine choices with either a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed automatic transmission. The 1.2 litre all aluminium turbocharged petrol engine produces 130 PS of power, and 230 Nm of torque at 1,750 rpm. The claimed efficiency is 18.1 kmpl, combined. The 1.6-litre diesel engine generates 120 PS of power and 300 Nm of torque at 1,750 rpm. The claimed combined efficiency for this engine stands at 21.7 kmpl. The optional electronic Grip Control also ensures that power is safely transferred to the road. Opel will offer more powerful engines shortly.

Opel Grandland X profile at IAA 2017

Adaptive Cruise Control with pedestrian detection and Automatic Emergency Braking; Driver Drowsiness Alert; Advanced Park Assist and 360° Camera are the highlights in the safety department. The diesel variant costs 26,500 Euros in Germany.
