Following the reveal of its name in a teaser video, production of the Fiat Egea sedan has commenced at Tofas' factory in Bursa, Turkey.
As seen in the video teaser, and pictures below, the Fiat Egea looks largely identical to the near-production Fiat Aegea concept presented earlier this year. If the dimensions are same, the Egea will measure 4500 mm long, 1780 mm wide, 1480 mm tall, and have a wheelbase of 2640 mm. Its boot capacity, as per the official website, is 510 liters.
As per Turkish media, the Egea will come with a 1.4-liter petrol engine with 95 PS, 1.6 E.torQ producing 110 hp, 1.3 Multijet II capable of 95 PS and a 1.6 Multijet II with 120 hp. These will be fitted to a 6-speed manual or an automatic gearboxes.

The Fiat Egea will be exported to 40 LHD countries, which include the African and Middle Eastern regions. As for the Indian market, the Fiat Egea is unconfirmed for introduction, although Fiat India is working on a replacement for the aging Fiat Linea.
