Gets a 493 hp supercharged V8 engine.
The 2016 Range Rover SVAutobiography is being showcased at the 2015 Dubai International Motor Show. The most expensive Range Rover ever made had its world premiere at the 2015 New York International Auto Show earlier this year.
Touted to be the most luxurious and powerful series-production model to date, the Range Rover SVAutobiography was crafted at Land Rover’s Special Vehicle Operations’ (SVO) technical centre in the UK. For the first time in the Range Rover model’s 45-year history, it features a dual-tone body colour in the SVAutobiography version.
The upper body gets a standard Santorini Black colour while the lower portion gets nine colour choices. The car is further characterised by a special grille that is embellished in distinctive graphite atlas and polished chrome. The interior receives special driver’s switchgear including the rotary controls, which are machined from solid aluminum. The foot pedals are also specially crafted for the SVAutobiography model.
Power is drawn from a 5.0-litre supercharged V8 engine that is made of aluminium. It produces 493 hp and 680 Nm, and is mated to a ZF eight-speed automatic transmission. The production series is offered with other powertrains including the TDV6, the SDV6 hybrid, the SDV8 and the supercharged, SCV6.
