We just brought you the news that the Renault Logan and Sandero were launched in Ukraine. The latest piece of news is the Logan will soon be launched in Russia as well.
If you remember, the Renault-Nissan Alliance has acquired the controlling stake in AvtoVAZ. The Togliatti plant currently manufactures the Nissan Almera and Lada Largus. The Renault Logan would also be built at this plant.
Seen here are the spyshots of the first Renault Logans that arrived at the Togliatti plant. The spy shots appears in early March on the Russian website Carobka.ru, suggesting that the market launch of the Logan in Russia is not far away.
The Renault Logan gets a slightly different front fascia compared to its Dacia counterpart. The new front grill proudly wears the Renault Lozenge. On the inside, the car gets squarish centre aircon vents while the Dacia version gets circular units.
The Russia spec Renault Logan is expected to be powered by a pair of petrol engines. A 0.9 litre turbo petrol motor develops 90 bhp. The second motor would be the 1.2 litre 75 bhp four cylinder unit. Both manual and automatic transmissions are expected to be offered.
The Renault Logan is likely to be launched in Russia in the last quarter of 2013.
