The pre-bookings for the Revolt RV 400 are still open on the company’s website and on Amazon India, Revolt Motors’ official online partner, for a token amount of INR 1,000 (fully refundable in case of cancellation). The RV 400 has received positive feedback with over 2,500 units already booked (as on 10 July).

Revolt Motors unveiled the motorcycle on 18 June. However, the company promised to announce more features at the launch event. The presentation video ended with a teaser of a voice-command activation system, which hinted that the company will offer a Bluetooth-enabled helmet as an accessory.

The feature-packed RV 400 comes with full LED lighting, fully digital instrument console with Bluetooth connectivity, upside-down front forks, monoshock at the back and disc brakes as standard – features that are not available on most of the sub-200 cc motorcycles in the Indian market. There's also a smartphone app can be used to control various functions such as tracking trip, select from preset exhaust notes, geofencing, locating battery-swapping stations and ordering new battery pack.

The motorcycle can clock a top speed of 85 km/h (electronically limited). The ARAI-certified range stands at a commendable 156 km. Anchoring department includes a single disc brake on both wheels. The motorcycles displayed at the unveiling missed the safety net of ABS. The safety tech is mandatory for electric two-wheelers with a peak power output of 11 kW and above.

Buyers can select from two colours – Cosmos Black and Rebel Red. The motorcycle was expected to arrive at approximately INR 1 lakh (on-road Delhi). However, with the recent GST cut on electric vehicles, the RV 400 can arrive at an even lower price tag. The GST council has reduced the GST on EVs from 12% to 5%. The Revolt RV 400 will compete with motorcycles with 150-180 cc engines.
