Royal Enfield has put up a YouTube livestream link with the caption “Watch two legends make a comeback. LIVE, all the way from EICMA, Milan. #RoyalEnfieldTwins”; revealing the unveiling of two bikes.

The two bikes will be unveiled at the 2017 EICMA in Milan, Italy on November 7.

This indicates that the motorcycle brand will resurrect the names of its older models, the Interceptor or the Super Meteor or the Constellation for its upcoming motorcycles. It is likely that one of them will be a sporty cafe racer and the other one would be a classic-looking motorcycle like the Triumph Bonneville. Royal Enfield made the Super Meteor for the US market between 1952 and 1962. The Super Meteor and its sporty cousin, the Constellation were replaced by the Interceptor. The bike was in the market between 1960 and 1970. The company CEO Siddhartha Lal recently released a teaser video of two upcoming motorcycles zooming on a racetrack.

The cafe racer and the classic models would be a cheaper alternative to the Harley Davidson Street 750 and the Triumph Street Twin. The variants were spied in August. The upcoming motorcycle has been spied multiple times; and it is evident that the motorcycle is capable of sustaining triple-digit speeds without fuss. An ABS variant of the bike was also spied in August.

The design of one of the variants will be akin to the Continental GT.

The powerplant is a 750 cc parallel unit with oil cooling and fuel injection. The engine reportedly features a 270-degree crank for optimal refinement and will be highway worthy. The downtubes of the double cradle frame hold the longitudinal radiator. The bike gets dual black exhausts, and the tyres are likely to be Pirelli Phantom Sportscomp. For suspension, the bike employs traditional forks at the front and dual gas-charged shock absorbers at the rear. Brakes include discs on both ends, with ABS at least as an option.
