Registered in 2005, Scomadi is a British company that sells luxury modern classic scooters. The brand is a partnership between Frank Sanderson of Scooter Innovation Ltd and Paul Melici of PM Tuning Ltd. Both have over 60 years of experience in the scooter industry. The company currently has a dealership network in UK, Europe, Oceania and Asia.

Scomadi has appointed AJ Performance as its official distributor. AJ Performance is a brand based in Pune that deals with the sale and service of imported cars, and performance parts. The media site reports that the brand will bring the Scomadi TT125 as its first product for India, with a launch likely in May, this year. The scooter will enter the country via CBU route from Thailand, where the brand manufactures its products.

The Scomadi TT125 employs a 124.6 cc single cylinder SOHC 2-valve engine. The brand has sourced the engine from Aprilia in Italy, installed in the frame in its Thailand plant. The engine with fuel injection from Delphi is good for 11 hp output at 7,300 rpm. There is an optional remap and exhaust system upgrade which will reportedly push the power figure to a claimed 15 hp.

The scooter rides on double hydraulic preload-adjustable shock absorber with coil spring with anti-dive linkage system on the front. The rear employs a coil spring with adjustable preload up to four positions. The 12-inch alloys are shod with 110-section front and 120-section rear Pirelli Angel Scooter tubeless tyre. The fuel tank capacity stands at a generous 11 litres, and it weighs 100 kg, dry. Brakes include 220 mm front and 200 mm rear disc with dual-channel ABS.

The news website reports that the brand will offer numerous customisation opportunities, including custom paint schemes, accessories like windshields, luggage racks, and crash guards. Orders with custom colours will reportedly take three months to be delivered.

As per the website, the price of the Scomadi TT125 starts from INR 1.98 lakh, ex-showroom, Pune; and accessories are extra. This puts the brand in niche market, which will allure enthusiasts and collectors. Based on the reception of the TT125, the brand will bring in the more powerful model, the TT200.
