Skoda has brought along two new variants on the Octavia to the 2014 Geneva Motor Show.
Skoda Octavia G-TEC CNG
The Skoda Octavia G-TEC uses a CNG system and is the first mass-produced Octavia to be fitted with CNG technology. Power comes from a 1.4-liter four-cylinder TSI engine which produces 108 hp.
The Octavia CNG comes with two gas tanks which give the car a range of 410 km. Once the CNG tanks are empty, the system automatically switches to petrol, which offers a range of 920 km. Combined, the Octavia CNG has a range of 1,330 km.
Standard features on the car include a start-stop system and a brake energy recovery system. This helps the car in achieving CO2 emissions of just 97 g/km. The natural gas drive is available for both the Octavia and the Octavia Combi.
