The first units of the Skoda Octavia RS have reached showrooms ahead of its launch on the 30th of this month. The images were uploaded on Team BHP along with information regarding its launch date and specifications.
The two sets of images show the Skoda Octavia vRS in Steel Grey and Race Blue exterior colours. Other colour options include Corrida Red and Candy White. Exterior features include 10-spoke alloy wheels, sharper front bumper with honeycomb lattice design for the air inlets, rear boot spoiler and 'vRS' badging on the grille and bootlid. The Skoda Octavia RS also gets chrome tip dual exhaust pipes, LED fog lamps and a reflective strip running across the rear bumper.
On the inside, the Octavia's sportier sibling gets contrast red stitching on the seats, special vRS steering wheel, gear selector and handbrake leather trim. The RS trim also entails sports seats with fixed headrests in the front and 'vRS' badging on all seats. There will also be a 9.2 inch touchscreen with Apple CarPlay, Android Auto and Mirror Link, nine airbags, ESP and park assist system on offer.
India will get the 230 PS 2.0 L TSI Octavia RS. A 6-speed DSG will be the only transmission option on offer. As per Skoda's international website, the Octavia RS in 230 PS guise does 0-100 km/h in 6.8 seconds.
According to Team BHP's sources, 125 cars have been allocated to India. The vehicles are present at dealerships for prospective customers to look and feel. Test drives will begin once the launch takes places on 30th of August.
