Skoda's Monte Carlo cars to reach India beginning with the Rapid.
IAB's automotive illustrator Shoeb Kalania has worked on a rendering of the Indian-spec Skoda Rapid Monte Carlo incorporating the changes from the European version. The Rapid Monte Carlo is a permanently selling variant in Europe, but whether India will get it the same way or as a limited edition, is to be seen, when it reaches India next year.
The Skoda Rapid Monte Carlo's key exterior feature will be the black highlights on the exterior panels. Black radiator grille (without chrome frame), skirt extensions, door mirror caps, alloy wheels, roof and bootlid spoiler are expected to give the sportier look.
The interior will likely be done in black. Leather seats, leather-wrapped steering wheel, stainless steel pedals could further enhance the appeal. If Skoda India were to be more generous, a new infotainment system with in-built satellite navigation system too could be in the equipment list.

The Skoda Rapid Monte Carlo could be offered with the same 77 kW (105 PS) 1.6-litre MPI naturally aspirated petrol and 81 kW (110 PS) 1.5-litre TDI turbocharged diesel engines of the standard Skoda Rapid. The VW Vento‘s 77 kW (105 PS) 1.2-litre TSI turbocharged four-cylinder petrol engine would certainly make the car a more appealing choice, and perhaps more adhering to its sporty character.
