2015 NAIAS Live - Smart ForTwo Flashlight edition
Last hurrah of the current edition ForTwo.
Smart has showcased a special edition version of the ForTwo city car at the ongoing 2015 Detroit Auto Show. Called the Flashlight edition, it comes with unique colour combinations, added features, and is said to offer customers up to 44 percent of savings in terms of features.
On the outside, the vehicle gets either matte crystal white or deep black paint. The safety cell, mirror caps, and hub covers are painted lava orange. The grille is painted black and the 3-twin-spoke alloys (not on the electric drive version pictured here) are painted black. On the inside, the Smart ForTwo Flashlight edition gets a black interior with orange stripe and stitching. A USB and Aux-ready MP3/CD player with two speakers comes standard.
It also gets special floor mats, H7 projector headlamps, and special edition logos. Prices start at 17,580 Euros (INR 12.88 lakhs) while the vehicle will be available worldwide, with first deliveries expected in April 2015.
The Smart ForTwo is available in three versions: 1-litre naturally aspirated engine that makes 71 hp, turbocharged version of the same engine with 84 hp, and a 55 kW electric model.
This looks like one of the final editions of the current Smart, as the next generation (third generation) version of Smart ForTwo is expected to reach markets later this year.
