The Ssangyong Korando Turismo is powered by the 2.0 litre e-XDi200 LET (Low End Torque) diesel engine which belts out 155 bhp and 360 Nm of torque. The engine is mated to either a 6-speed manual transmission or Mercedes licensed 5-speed automatic gearbox. The car features an electronic 4WD which sends power to all the four wheels only when the conditions demand it.

The company claims that the gigantic MPV is the result of 2 years and 6 months worth of R&D. The Korando Turismo sports safety features like ESP (Electronic Stability Program), ARP (Active Rollover Protection) and BAS (Brake Assist System) apart from standard features like the ABS and the airbags.

The interior of the Korando Turismo is characterized by quirky dashboard design. A superbike like digital instrument console is placed behind the multifunction steering wheel. In addition, there is a centrally mounted analog instrument panel and touch screen multimedia infotainment system.

In a tweet, Mr. Anand Mahindra stated that he is excited about the MPV's potential in India, hinting at a possibility that it could enter India sometime in the future. He also confirmed that the car will be showcased to the international audience at the Geneva Motor Show.
