The Suzuki RM-Z250 and Suzuki RM-Z450 are track specific only and are not supposed to be used on public roads. Thus, you won’t find hardware like headlight, tail light, blinkers or rear-view mirrors on these bikes.

Commenting on the Indian launch of the RM-Z250 and RM-Z450, Satoshi Uchida, Managing Director, Suzuki Motorcycle India, said that the company has witnessed a great spur in the off-roading and adventurous riding experiences among Indian riders. It has launched these purpose-built motorcycles to address the rising demand in the racing and adventure category.

The 2019 Suzuki RM-Z450 uses a 449 cc, four-stroke, fuel-injected, DOHC engine. The performance numbers have not been disclosed yet. The feature list of the RM-Z450 includes Suzuki Holeshot Assist Control (S-HAC) that is available in three selectable modes. The motorcycle also comes equipped with a new balance free rear cushion (BFRC) technology. It has a 21-inch wheel at the front and an 18-inch wheel at the rear. The larger front wheel is a typical trait of off-roading motorcycles that tackle the rough terrain more effectively. The RM-Z450 tips the scale at 112 kg (kerb) and offers 330 mm of ground clearance.

The Suzuki RM-Z250, on the other hand, has a 249 cc, four-stroke, fuel-injected, DOHC engine. It’s marginally lighter than the RM-Z450, with a kerb weight of 106 kg. Also, the RM-Z250 offers a higher ground clearance of 345 mm (+15 mm).

Suzuki Motorcycle India has not disclosed any details about the DR-Z50 and the RMX450Z. To give you a quick recap, the RMX450Z uses the same 449cc, four-stroke, liquid-cooled, single-cylinder engine that is seen on the RM-Z450. However, it comes equipped with a headlight for enduro riding. The DR-Z50 uses a 49 cc, four-stroke, air-cooled, single-cylinder engine, and it has a kerb weight of 54kg.
