While the the Swish will continue with a 125 cc engine, it's the styling part that the Japanese bike maker is looking to enhance. The engine, which comes mated to CVT gearbox on the Swish, makes 8.5 hp of power at 7,000 rpm and 9.8 Nm of torque at 5,000 rpm.

The additions could include alloy wheels shod with tubeless tyres, digital instrument console, and a front disc brake, revealed the publication's sources. On the styling front, Suzuki will aim to up the Swish's ante, to make it look more trendy.

The scooter was given a mild update last year, at the time of the 110 cc Let's scooter's introduction. What remains clearly etched in our memory is that Suzuki said that it will be bringing the SEP (Suzuki Eco Performance) system to products like the Swish.

As for the pricing, inclusion of the above mentioned features is likely to increase the price, but Suzuki will still undercut its rival, the Honda Activa. The latter has a version with alloys and disc brakes but that's almost Rs 10,000 dearer to the Swish. Currently, the Swish is priced at Rs 57,620, on-road, Mumbai.
