SWM working on four new V-twin engines - Report
SWM, an Italian motorcycle brand owned by Chinese company Shineray has revealed its plans of introducing four new V-twin engines for new SWM bikes.
Visordown reports that the Chinese company announced its plans at its 20th anniversary event in Chongqing, China. The new V-twin engines are in the range of 350cc, 550cc, 850cc, and 1200cc. The company states that the 350cc mill is targeted at customers who are new to motorcycle riding. The 550cc powerplant is meant for 'advanced riders' and 'city riding', according to the brand. The 850 cc will be the middle ground between the 550 and 1200cc engine. The biggest engine, the 1200cc V-twin will reportedly provide ‘the ultimate experience’.

The new V-twin engines could enhance the brand’s portfolio, and the 1200cc V-twin could potentially offer a high-performance motorcycle. In the Indian market, Kinetic Group plans to introduce the Italian brand in early 2018.
The first bike to enter our shores will be the SWM SuperDual. The upcoming bike is planned to be priced at under INR 6 lakh. When launched, the SuperDual will lock horns with the Benelli TNT 600 GT, and Kawasaki Versys 650 in the segment.
