At the 17th Salon de l'Automobile which took place in Algeria last month, Tata Motors had showcased nearly its entire lineup of products. Tata's stall featured the Indica, Indigo, Vista, Manza and the flagship Aria crossover.
Tata Indica and Indigo:
The display cars were powered by petrol engines, as seen in their 'GLX' badging. Tata has however discontinued the petrol Indica in India owing to poor sales and only the diesel variants of the hatchback are sold. The full-sized Indigo on the other hand is unavailable for private buyers in India, irrespective of petrol or diesel.
Tata Vista and Manza:
The Vista and Manza showcased at the show are powered by petrol engines as well. While the Vista uses a 1.2-liter engine producing 65 PS and 96 Nm of torque, the Manza uses a 1.4-liter motor outputting 90 PS and 116 Nm of torque. The petrol Vista is no longer available in India.
Tata Aria:
The Aria shown in Algeria was the pre-facelift model as it did not sport clear lens taillights and projector headlights. The show car was powered by the 2.2-liter diesel engine.
Interestingly, all cars shown featured ABS and dual front airbags as standard. Prices for these cars have not been announced yet.
