Last week, Tata Motors shared teasers and the name of its upcoming SUV based on the H5X Concept from the Auto Expo. Based on that, IAB's automotive illustrator has rendered the front end of the Tata Harrier.
The rendering amalgamates the details let out by the teaser image with the Tata H5X Concept's front end. It features LED pilot lamps/DRLs positioned on either side of the grille. The primary headlights are placed below in the bumper much like Hyundai's Composite Light Design seen in case of the new Santa Fe. The lower grille has a finer mesh and a solid grey portion that holds the license plate as well. The Tata Harrier render sports a dual tone look.
The Tata Harrier will debut the company's Impact Design 2.0 philosophy in production form. It will be 80-85% similar to the H5X Concept concerning appearance. Based on the other images we can conclude that the SUV will have a SUV coupe-like silhouette. At the back, there will be split LED tail light clusters.
For the Harrier, Tata has enlisted to services of the Omega architecture derived from Land Rover's D8 platform. FCA will supply its 2.0 L Multijet II diesel engine to Tata for the upcoming SUV. A petrol variant is also rumoured to be in the works, but information regarding the same is scarce.
As reported last week, the Tata Harrier will enter production before the end of 2018 at the company's Pimpri-Chinchwad plant near Pune, Maharashtra. It will make its debut in November 2018, followed by a market release in the first quarter of 2019 at an expected starting price of INR 10 lakh.

The Harrier will be the first of around 12 new products Tata is lining up for the Indian market. There will be a 7-seat version of the SUV that will arrive within a year of the launch of the 5-seat version. In the second half of 2019, the production version of the Tata 45X, to challenge the Maruti Baleno, goes on sale as well.
