The Tata Indigo eCS is on the verge of getting a facelift. The compact sedan segment has seen a new hero in the form of the Honda Amaze and even Maruti Suzuki for their part have come out with a special edition of the Swift Dzire to keep things freshened up. The timing cannot be better then, for the Indigo eCS to get a nip and tuck.

This picture was sent in by an Indian Autos Blog reader from Pune, where this Indigo eCS test mule was spotted as well.

Note the 'smoked' headlamp unit and the new alloy wheels, apart from the new exterior 'Urban Bronze' color.

Before we get started about the headlamps and the bumpers, we should point out that this Indigo eCS sports an entirely new body color. The color seems to be the same as that offered on the Tata Safari Storme and the Tata Manza which is called as 'Urban Bronze'.

Apart from the new color, the refreshed Indigo eCS will also sport a newly designed alloy wheel as seen in this picture. Other added features would come in the form of rear parking sensors and a chrome strip on the rear bootlid.

At the front, Tata would alter the grille, headlights and the front bumper to a minor extent. Interestingly, the front headlamp unit seems to be 'smoked' out in places and when we observed more closely, what seemed like a projector head lamp unit was visible. However, we're not all to sure about the projector head lamps.

A new 'Urban Bronze' exterior color, which is already seen in the Safari Storme (above) is expected to make it to the Indigo eCS facelift.

Interior wise, the eCS refresh is expected to get a minor update in the form of a dual tone (black and beige) color scheme.

Tata's chief rival, Mahindra, is all set to explore the sub 4 meter segment with the Verito Vibe which is launching on June 5th. Thought the Vibe is a hatchback, it would certainly be an indirect rival to cars such as the eCS, given that it is also a chopped-down version of an already existing sedan.
