Tata Motors today confirmed the two engines that will go into the Tata Nexon which will have its media launch this month. Tata Motors has confirmed in the release that the Nexon goes on sale in the festive season.
Terming the new engines "power-packed" and "performance oriented", they are the 1.2L Turbocharged Petrol from the Revotron series and the 1.5L Diesel engine from the Revotorq family. Tata is promising "unrivalled package of fuel efficiency, performance, and refinement" in the new motors.
The Tata Nexon short form of “NEXT-ON” debuted at the Auto Expo 2016. The engines are indigenous products from Tata Motors with inputs from technology suppliers AVL, Bosch, Mahale and Honeywell. The Revotron engine will be manufactured at the Sanand facility (Gujarat) while the Revotorq engine will be made at the Ranjangaon facility (Maharashtra).

The Nexon gets first-in-segment multi drive modes - Eco, City, and Sport. While the Eco mode is designed to offer a relaxed drive experience favouring fuel economy, the City mode offers the optimum balance between power and torque. The Sport mode leads to superior throttle response for a spirited drive experience, the company said.
