Competes with the Maruti Swift and Hyundai Grand i10
The Toyota Etios Liva, which was launched in the Nepali market last month, is seen at the 2014 Nepal Auto Show (NADA 2014). United Traders Syndicate are the authorized distributors of Toyota in Nepal who have priced it at NPR 33.45 lakhs (INR 20.9 lakhs).
The hatchback is powered by a 1.2-liter four-cylinder petrol engine which produces 80 PS (78.87 bhp) at 5,600 rpm and 104 Nm of torque at 3,100 rpm. It comes matched to a 5-speed manual transmission and the fuel efficiency is rated at 17.71 km/l under ARAI tests.
Foglights, body-colored bumpers and door handles, alloy wheels, rear wiper and washer, multi-function steering wheel, front and rear power windows, ABS, EBD, dual front airbags, 2-DIN music system with CD/MP3/AUX-in and fabric seats are some of the features on the Etios Liva.
The car measures 3,775 mm in length, 1,695 mm in width and 1,510 mm in height with a wheelbase of 2,460 mm. It has a 251 liter boot and a 45 liter fuel tank, with a turning radius of 4.8 m.
The hatchback is made at Toyota Kirloskar Motor's (TKM) plant in Bidadi, Karnataka, from where it is exported. Toyota also launched the Etios Cross, which is based on the Etios Liva, at the NADA show.
