TVS has launched the Bluetooth-enabled version of Apache RTR 200 4V in India at INR 1,14,345 (ex-showroom, Delhi). That’s just INR 2,500 more than the standard carburetted trim.

Tvs Smartxonnect Technology In The Tvs Tvs Apache
The TVS Apache RTR 200 4V becomes the only motorcycle in India to get Bluetooth connectivity after Hero XPulse 200 and Hero Xtreme 200S.

The TVS Apache RTR 200 4V gets TVS’ SmartXonnect technology which allows the rider to connect their smartphone. The mobile application comes with features like Lean Angle Mode, Tour Mode, Navigation, Race Telemetry and Crash Alert that sends SMS alert to emergency contacts when the bike detects a fall. All this happens within 180 seconds after the crash.

Powering the TVS apache RTR 200 4V is the same 197.75 cc carburetted engine. Coupled to a 5-speed gearbox, the engine churns out 20.5 PS of power and 18.1 Nm of torque. Besides that, the gearbox is assisted by a slipper clutch. Bakes include petal discs at both ends, supported by a dual-channel ABS. Visual changes include a new ‘SmartXonnect’ sticker on the fuel tank and fly screen. Besides that, there's a new gold finish on the chain.

The Telemetry displayed in the smartphone application will help Apache owners become much better riders. However, just don't go by the insane 88-degree lean angle quoted in the sample image above!

Also, a new SmartXonnect switch is present on the left side of the handlebar, above the indicator switch. In case of low fuel, one can simply hit this button and the navigation (turn-by-turn) display on the instrument cluster will redirect you to the nearest petrol station. In case of normal riding, while setting up the destination in the smartphone application, the rider can even feed in multiple stops.

Turn By Turn Navigation Feature On Tvs Apache Rtr
The instrument console is the same digital unit as the existing variant.

The Bluetooth compatible TVS Apache RTR 200 4V will be retailed in White and Black shades. There has been no confirmation on whether this feature will be offered in the fuel-injected variant or not.
