Here is a list of two wheelers that are expected to launch in or around March. Most of them were unveiled at the Auto Expo 2016.
1. Hero Splendor 110 iSmart
The Splendor 110 iSmart is the first ingeniously developed motorcycle by Hero MotoCorp. It is powered by the company's self-developed 111 cc engine that produces 9.1 PS at 7500 rpm and 9 Nm at 5,500 rpm, mated to a four-speed gearbox. It is equipped with the Hero i3S (idle Stop-Start System).
2. Honda CD 110 Dream Deluxe
The Deluxe variant is a new addition to the Honda CD 110 Dream motorcycle that gets self-start feature and a new colour theme. It is powered by the same 109.19 cc engine that develops 8.25 bhp at 7,500 rpm and 8.63 Nm at 5,500 rpm, paired with a four-speed gearbox.
3. Bajaj V
Using the scrapped metal of the INS Vikrant, the Bajaj V is marketed as a niche product in the premium commuter segment. It is powered by the 150 cc DTS-i engine but tuned to generate 12 Nm of torque at 3,000 rpm and 13 Nm of peak torque at 5,500 rpm. Delivery of the Bajaj V is scheduled to commence next month after its price is announced.
4. Suzuki Access 125
The new iteration of the Access 125 is powered by an all-new 124 cc engine with SEP technology that produces 8.7 PS and 10.2 Nm. It is touted to deliver 20 percent higher mileage than the existing Access.
5. Mahindra Gusto 125
The 125 cc variant of the Mahindra Gusto is based on the same platform and features slightly different looks and colour schemes. It is powered by a new 124.57 cc M-TEC engine that produces 8.6 PS at 7,000 rpm and 10 Nm at 5,500 rpm.
6. Suzuki Gixxer & SF rear disc brake, SF FI
Four new models of the Gixxer series will be available in showrooms shortly. They are, Suzuki Gixxer with rear disc brake, Suzuki Gixxer SF with rear disc brake, Suzuki Gixxer SF in Candy Antares Red and Suzuki Gixxer SF FI.
7. Honda CB Unicorn 150
The CB Unicorn 150 has been resurrected owing to customer demand. There is no change compared to the model that was discontinued. It is powered by the 149.1 cc engine that produces the same 13.14 bhp at 8,500 rpm and 12.84 Nm at 5,500 rpm, and is mated to the same five-speed gearbox.
8. Hero Xtreme 200S
The flagship variant of the Hero Xtreme is powered by a new 200 cc air-cooled single-cylinder engine that develops 18.6 PS at 8,500 rpm and 17.2 Nm at 6,000 rpm, paired with to a five-speed transmission. It features LED pilot lamps, analog-digital instrument console, LED tail light and ABS.
9. TVS Apache RTR 200 4V FI and ABS versions
TVS Motor Company announced the price of only the base model of the Apache 200, the one equipped with a carburettor and TVS Remora tyres, and lacking ABS. The company revealed to IndianAutosBlog that six to eight variants of the motorcycle will be made available around March that will include many combinations of the features like Carburettor/FI, ABS/standard brakes and Pirelli/TVS Remora tyres.
10. BMW G310R
It is rumoured that the BMW G310R will be launched in March in Malaysia. Given that it is manufactured in India, it is expected that the model would be launched in the country before going on sale in an export market. A Malaysian classifieds website has already listed the G310R at an approximate price equivalent to INR 4.11 lakhs.
11. Royal Enfield Himalayan
The Himalayan is scheduled to be launched around the middle of next month by when its price will be announced. It is the company's first adventure tourer that is being taken on a tour to various cities in India on a pre-launch marketing campaign.
