Bengaluru-based electric two-wheeler brand Ultraviolette has launched the F77. The performance-oriented electric motorcycle comes in three variants – Shadow, Lightening and Laser – and it is priced in the range of INR 3 lakh to INR 3.25 lakh (on-road, Bengaluru). The price tag is after the deduction of the FAME-II subsidy. The F77 electric motorcycle will be available in Bengaluru in the initial phase.

Performance is among the top USPs of the Ultraviolette F77. Powered by 25 kW BLDC motor, which pumps out an eyeball flattening 90 Nm/450 Nm of peak torque (motor/wheel) and a maximum power output of 33.5 hp at 2,250 rpm, helps the motorcycle accelerate from 0-60 km/h and 0-100 km/h in just 2.9 seconds and 7.0 seconds respectively. The top-speed of the F77 electric bike stands at a respectable 147 km/h. The electric bike comes with three riding modes – Eco, Sport and Insane – and a Park assist reverse throttle. Power is sent to the rear wheel through a X-Ring chain drive (46T rear/14T front sprockets). A single reduction helical gearbox is part of the package.
The engine is powered by three Modular Li-ion battery packs that are claimed to deliver a range of 130 km to 150 km. The charging time through a standard charger stands at 5 hours. A fast charger, however, can recharge the batteries in 1.5 hours. Charging options include a 1 kW standard vehicle-mounted charger and a 3 kW portable charger.
Braking hardware comprises a 320 mm disc with a fixed, four-piston, radial calliper at the front and a 230 mm rotor with a single-piston floating calliper at the back. The anchoring setup is governed by a dual-channel ABS. Other safety features include a side-stand sensor, lockdown mode, emergency contact alert and a fall/crash sensor.
The motorcycle is built around a steel trellis frame. Shock absorption tasks are handled by inverted telescopic forks at the front and a gas-charged, preload-adjustable mono-shock at the back. The vehicle tips the weight scale at just 158 kg.
The feature list of the motorcycle includes full LED lighting and a TFT LCD instrument console with NFC & Bluetooth connectivity. A smartphone app, available for Android and iOS users, is also part of the package. An adaptive dashboard brightness with Ambient Light Sensor (ALS) ensures a proper view of the readings. A 5-way dashboard control pad helps to toggle information on the screen. An onboard USB charger ensures that your devices do not run out of battery. The switchgear features a backlight function that enhances the premium look of the electric vehicle.
The naked roadster-style front fascia includes a full LED headlight that reminds of the unit on the CFMoto 300NK. The front forks are covered by a fibre panel. Similarly, the battery pack and the motor, too, sit behind a fibre cover. Steering duties are performed by clip-on style handlebars that would deliver sporty ergonomics. The muscular design and the split, step-up seats further enhance the sporty looks of the vehicle. The motorcycle is available in three colour options - Stealth Grey, Lightning Silver, Crimson.
