Auto Expo Live - UM unveils Renegade Sport, Renegade Commando, XTreet; launch in mid-2014
American bike-maker UM Global had displayed a few models at its stall at the Auto Expo 2014. The manufacturer had announced that it would set up a manufacturing facility near Gurgaon and launch its bikes towards the middle of this year.
All bikes that the company displayed will be launched this year, along with a few other models that are still under wraps.
UM Renegade Sport
The Renegade Sport in its range comes with three engines of 140 cc, 180 cc and 200 cc displacement. The model displayed was the 200 cc variant which features an air-cooled single-cylinder engine that develops a 15.22 hp and peak torque of 14.67 Nm. The bike weighs just 110 kg.
The bike gets hydraulic telescopic suspension at the front, hydraulic spring setup at the rear, disc brakes at the front and drum brakes at the rear.
The Renegade Sport measures 1,975 mm in length, 730 mm in width and has a seat height of 756 mm. It gets a wheelbase of 1,350 mm and a 10 liter fuel tank.
A number of optional features like blind spot mirrors, LED indicators, LED surround lights and Bluetooth helmet are available for the Renegade Sport.

UM Renegade Commando
The Renegade Commando is powered by a single-cylinder air-cooled 225 cc engine that churns out 18 hp and 15.5 Nm of torque mated to a 5-speed gearbox. It gets the same suspension and brake setup as the Renegade Sport.
The Renegade Commando measures 2,310 mm in length, 787 mm in width and 800 mm in seat height. It gets a wheelbase of 1,325 mm and has a 17.5 liter fuel tank. The bike has a dry weight of 127 kg and is marketed as a cruiser.

UM XTreet
The XTreet is part of UM's sportsbike range. The XTreet comes with 175 cc, 200 cc and 225 cc engines and the one displayed was the 200 cc variant.
The 200 cc XTreet gets a single cylinder air-cooled engine that produces 16.1 hp and peak torque of 13.96 Nm mated to a 5-speed gearbox. While it retains the telescopic suspension up front, it gets a monoshock suspension at the rear and disc brakes at both ends. It weighs a paltry 120 kg.
The XTreet is 2,040 mm in length, 812 mm in width and 1,100 mm in total height. With a 17 liter fuel tank, the bike has a wheelbase of 1,410 mm.
