The second-gen Volvo XC60 that debuted at the 2017 Geneva Motor Show is finally about to reach the Indian shores. According to a report from Autocar India, Volvo will launch the 2017 Volvo XC60 in India in December 2017.
The 2017 Volvo XC60 is available in three primary trim levels - Momentum, R-Design and Inscription. Volvo will bring it exclusively in the range-topping Inscription trim level. LED headlights with T-shaped DRLs, 22-inch 5-double spoke matt black diamond cut alloy wheels, dual tailpipes, 12-inch driver display, Driftwood decor inlays, Nappa leather upholstery, 9-inch Sensus Connect touchscreen infotainment system, 224-watt, 10-speaker audio system, Collision Mitigation Support and Lane Keeping Aid are the equipment highlights of the 2017 Volvo XC60 Inscription.
The 2017 Volvo XC60 is available in D4 AWD and D5 AWD diesel models, T5 AWD and T6 AWD petrol models and T8 AWD petrol-electric hybrid models. The Indian-spec version will sell only in the D5 AWD model only. The XC60 D5 AWD is 4,688 mm long, 1,902 mm wide and 1,658 mm tall. It has a 2,865 mm wheelbase. Under the hood, is the D4204T23 2.0-litre twin-turbo diesel engine that develops 235 hp and 480 Nm of torque. An 8-speed automatic transmission and an AWD system work together to route power to the wheels.

Volvo will assemble the second-gen Volvo XC60 locally, but it is unknown whether that will happen right from the time of launch. The 2017 Volvo XC60 could have a pricing of around INR 55 lakh (ex-showroom).
