Renamed version of the China-only Volvo S60L
Volvo has decided to bring the China-only S60L to the United States, renaming it as the Volvo S60 Inscription. The long-wheelbase version of the mid-size sedan has made its debut at the 2015 Detroit Auto Show, and will be imported from China.
First unveiled at the 2013 Guangzhou Motor Show, the Volvo S60L/ Inscription features a 2,858 mm wheelbase, an increase of 81.3 mm over the standard model.
Thanks to the increased wheelbase, the Volvo S60 Inscription offers better legroom for rear passenger which, they claim, is the "best in-class".
It will be sold in two variants, one of which is the Premier variant that will feature luxury touches like bespoke 19-inch wheels, interior accent lighting, Linear Walnut trim, silk metal detailing along with Inscription-branded tread plates, sunroof, leather upholstery and the Sensus Navigation package, while the other is the more-expensive Platinum model, which further adds an Harman Kardon audio system, bi-xenon headlights and a full Sensus technology package.
Under the hood, the S60 Inscription will pack the T5 engine, which is a 2.0-liter turbo four-cylinder producing 241 hp and 320Nm of torque. It will be available in both FWD and AWD flavors.
