M-Slaz had its premiere this month in Thailand.

The Yamaha M-Slaz has been photographed next to the Yamaha MT-25 and Yamaha MT-09, by enthusiasts in Thailand. The M-Slaz (also known as the MT-15) is being manufactured in Thailand, the MT-25 is produced in Indonesia and the MT-09 is made in Japan.

The Yamaha M-Slaz is the second to smallest offering in the MT-series after the Yamaha MT-125.

All three MT-series motorcycles have a similar appeal and bear the hallmarks of the Japanese brand, but each of their individualities are clearly defined. The Yamaha M-Slaz is separated from the other street fighters by its LED headlamp cluster, while the others use the conventional, halogen lamps.

The Yamaha M-Slaz, launched in Thailand, is the second to lowest model in the MT-series after the Yamaha MT-125. It is the naked version of the Yamaha R15, and is powered by the same engine and six-speed gearbox used on the super sport model. The motor is a 149.8 cc liquid-cooled single-cylinder fuel-injected unit with SOHC and 4 valves, that produces 17 PS at 8,000 and 15 Nm at 7,500 rpm on the R15.

The Yamaha M-Slaz gets an LED headlamp as a standard feature.

The Yamaha MT-25 was launched in Indonesia in June. It is the naked interpretation of the Yamaha R25, and hence it uses the same chassis and powertrain. The 249 cc liquid-cooled inline-twin cylinder engine with liquid-cooling, produces 36 PS and 22.6 Nm, and it is mated to a six-speed gearbox.

The Yamaha MT-09 was introduced in 2013 as a roadster motard than a street fighter. It competes with the likes of the MV Agusta Brutale, the Triumph Street Triple and the Kawasaki Z800. It is powered by an 847 cc three-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine with DOHC and 4-valves, that produces 115 PS at 10,000 rpm and 87.5 Nm at 8,500 rpm, and it is paired with a six-speed transmission.
