Yamaha RD350 was sold in two versions - high torque and low torque.

The two-stroke era may have ended, but enthusiasts still worship the legendary Yamaha RD350. A Munich-based group, Moto Essence have modified a Yamaha RD350 for Glemseck 101.

This customised Yamaha RD350 by Munich-based Moto Essence uses a re-bored 420 cc mill which is capable of producing 90 hp of maximum power.

The Glemseck 101 allows customizers as well as factory teams to use modified motorcycles which have a twin cylinder engine and have an engine displacement of no more than 1,200 cc.

Thanks to their experience in motorsports, the folks at Moto Essence have reworked the powertrain. Called as the Falcon, the original 347 cc twin-cylinder mill has been given a big bore kit and now displaces 420 cc. The output has increased to a maniac 90 hp. The bike also gets a larger radiator, 38 mm Keihin carburettors and a new exhaust system.

The chassis is sourced from the Italian frame builder Parenti. The pistons are from Wiseco to handle the extra performance. The Yamaha RD350 Falcon also gets a reinforced clutch. The body has also been worked to keep the kerb weight low, something which will help boost the bike’s timing during a drag race.
