With the growing economy, the demand for performance bikes in India is surging at a very high rate. Dozens of models are launched every year to satisfy the Indian customers. With the likes of Honda, Suzuki, Ducati and Yamaha, the market is now second to none (almost).

However, the Indian government's hefty import duties doesn't do any good to the superbikes. So, Yamaha have decided to revise the pricing for all of its CBU superbikes simultaneously. Yamaha’s move is quite understandable.

The pricing are as follows:

Yamaha FZ1-N:  Rs. 10,72,045 (998cc/ 150PS@11,000rpm/ 106Nm@8000rpm)

Yamaha YZF-R1: Rs.15,60,182 (998cc/ 182.1PS@12,500rpm/ 115.5Nm@10,000rpm)

Yamaha V-Max: Rs. 25,65,423  (1679cc/ 200.1PS@9000rpm/ 166.8Nm@6500rpm)

Yamaha V-Max

The street king FZ1-N is a close rival of the famous CBR1000R and will compete the awe-inspiring YZF-R1 with the Busa, Ducati’s and the Honda Fireblade. Whereas the mighty V-max will carve its space among the Honda VFR’s and Harley’s. Despite being a global success for years and setting many performance benchmarks, Yamaha still have some untapped potential in the Indian superbike market.

Fortunately the tarmacs are getting better and trackdays are being held often along with the riding schools, these bikes would iron out the wrinkles for Yamaha.
