Production-spec 2017 Ford GT spotted, features minimal changes - Spied
To be priced around USD 400,000.
Courtesy of a Ford GT Forum member, a spyshot of the production-spec 2017 Ford GT has surfaced online, featuring several minimal changes over the concept car that was unveiled in January.
Compared to the near-production concept, the model above features larger side mirrors, marker lights on the front bumper, and glossy black finish for the front splitter rather than matte black (which could be an optional extra). A member of the forum further speculated that the air intakes could be larger in the production-spec model.
The new Ford GT will break tradition by offering a 3.5-liter twin turbo V6 EcoBoost engine, which will produce 630 hp, thus making it the most powerful EcoBoost engine to go into production. Power is sent to the rear wheels via a seven-speed dual clutch gearbox. Also spotted for the first time is the active aero wing at the back, which was virtually revealed in the Xbox-exclusive Forza Motorsport 6 simulator.

Only 250 units of the new Ford GT will made each year, each carrying a price tag starting from USD 400,000. It is expected to go on sale in 2017.
