MINI’s line-up at the 2017 Thai Motor Expo includes the second-gen MINI Countryman. MINI had introduced the 2017 MINI Countryman in Thailand in March this year.
The 2017 MINI Countryman features an evolutionary design and is bigger than its predecessor. The second generation model rides on the latest BMW X1’s UKL front-wheel drive platform. The all-new Countryman is 4,299 mm long, 1,822 mm wide and 1,557 mm tall. It has a 2,670 mm wheelbase. In Thailand, there are three configurations available: Cooper Countryman, Cooper S Countryman and Cooper S Countryman Hightrim. There’s also a John Cooper Works performance variant, which joined the range last month.
The model seen in the images here is the 2017 MINI Cooper Countryman. This entry-level configuration employs a 1.5-litre MINI TwinPower Turbo engine. The turbocharged three-cylinder petrol mill produces 136 PS from 4,400-6,000 rpm and 220 Nm of torque from 1,400-4,300 rpm. A 6-speed automatic transmission sends power to the wheels.
