Latest spy pictures of the 2019 Jeep Cherokee published by Auto Blog reveal significant changes to the fascia. The facelift gets a more conventional headlamp setup accompanied by minor updates to the rest of the exterior.

The conventional single piece headlamp units allow for a cleaner and clutter-free fascia.

Unlike the split setup of the outgoing model, which features LED DRLs next to the grille with the actual headlight mounted on the bumper, the updated Jeep Cherokee features more conventional units flanking the grille. The rather sleek looking headlamps feature black bezels along with hockey stick style LED DRLs.

The spy media also provides evidence of a new flatter grille that replaces the peaked grille present on the current model. The signature seven-slot grille appears to be broader. At the back, the changes appear to be limited to a new tail lamp graphics, rear hatch mounted number plate, and increased dark grey finish on the rear bumper. Aside from the changes above, the rest of the exterior seems quite similar to the current Jeep Cherokee.

Images of the cabin shared by Auto Blog reveal a dashboard layout that seems to have been carried over unchanged. It features the same 8.4-inch touchscreen as the current Cherokee and the instrument cluster also looks identical.

The updates to the Jeep Cherokee will also entail a redesign for the rear section with new tail lamp graphics and the number plate moving up from the bumper to the hatch.
