Jeep has announced a limited edition of the Jeep Cherokee for the UK market which will go on sale in a few days from now. Called the Jeep Cherokee Night Eagle, this vehicle will be limited to just 350 units and will come at a on-road price of £36,795 (INR 36,79,855).
The Jeep Cherokee Night Eagle is based on the Longitude Plus trim and features black elements on the exterior to distinguish itself. The exterior features a satin-grey finish on the grille-mounted Jeep badge and fog light frames. The roof bars, Night Eagle name badge and the 18-inch black alloy wheels have a gloss black shade, and the night look is furthered by a deep tint sunscreen glass. Customers can opt for a choice of four exterior colours: Brilliant Black, Billet Silver, Bright White and Granite Crystal.
The well-appointed interior comprises of a leather-wrapped steering wheel, leather upholstery for the seats, Uconnect infotainment system with 8.4-inch screen and Bluetooth, heated front seats with the driver seat having electric lumbar adjustment, and TFT instrument panel.
Standard features that enhance comfort and convenience are a nine-speaker sound system with subwoofer, dual-zone climate control, cruise control, rear parking sensors, electric tailgate, auto-dimming rear mirror, automatic headlamps with washer and rain sensing wipers.
Power for the Jeep Cherokee Night Eagle comes from a new 2.2-litre MultiJet II turbo-diesel engine that is capable of 200 hp and 440 Nm of torque coupled to a 9-speed automatic transmission. Drive is sent to all four wheels through the Active Drive I 4×4 system. The SUV has a 0-62 mph (0-100 km/h) time of 8.5 seconds and a top speed of 127 mph (204 km/h) with fuel efficiency of 49.6 mpg (17.56 km/l).
