Next-gen model expected in 2017.
Sources have confirmed to Indian Autos Blog that GM India will launch the Chevrolet Cruze facelift at the Auto Expo 2016. The model in question will resemble the North American-spec 2015 Cruze which was introduced in April 2014 at the New York International Auto Show.
Changes are only mild, and purely cosmetic and feature oriented. Up front, the grille will house a new chrome radiator surround, a new front bumper will feature chrome foglight enclosures with LED daytime running lights, while other exterior changes will include new alloy wheel patterns and a slightly edgier rear bumper.
Inside, the Cruze facelift for the Indian market will get the Trailblazer's MyLink infotainment system with integrated GPS navigation, reverse camera, Bluetooth connectivity and voice commands. Sources say that minor changes to the seat upholstery could also be seen.
Under the hood, the Cruze will retain its 2.0-liter VCDi diesel engine capable of 166 PS and 360 Nm of torque, paired to 6-speed manual and automatic gearboxes. GM will continue offering safety features like ABS, dual front airbags and side airbags on the sedan.

Globally, the Cruze has moved on to its next generation in the Chinese market, and for the American market, sales of the all-new Cruze will start in the coming weeks. For the Indian market though, the new Cruze is expected only in 2017.
