Honda CB Unicorn, CB Shine, CD Dream & NAVi ABS and CBS variants launched

Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India has launched the ABS and CBS variants of four motorcycles. The company has added the safety-net of ABS to its best-seller in 150 cc segment, the CB Unicorn. Moreover, the company has introduced CBS tech with an equaliser to its 125 cc and lower displacement models – the CB Shine (drum variant), CD Dream DX and NAVi.

Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India has added ABS to the CB Unicorn and CBS to the CB Shine, CD110 Dream DX and NAVi.

Apart from the addition of ABS, the 150 cc Honda CB Unicorn gets tubeless tyres, stylish meter console with blue illumination and seal chain. The CB Unicorn ABS has been priced at INR 78,815 (ex-showroom, Delhi).

The CB Shine is one of the best selling Honda motorcycles, with cumulative sales of over 70 lakh units. The CB Shine CBS has arrived at INR 58,338 (ex-showroom, Delhi).

The CBS-equipped model range now includes the CD110 Dream DX as well. In addition to the new safety feature, the CD110 Dream DX gets silver 5-spoke alloy wheels, chrome handlebar & carrier, painted- front fender, cowl & tail cowl, clear blinkers and updated graphics. The CD110 CBS Dream DX CBS can be bought for a price of INR 50,028 (ex-showroom, Delhi).

Lastly, Honda has also updated the NAVi with Combined Braking System with an equaliser. CBS-equipped Honda NAVi can be yours for INR 47,110 (ex-showroom, Delhi).

The motorcycles and the NAVi have the same mechanical specifications are the non-ABS and non-CBS model(s). We would see a significant change on the complete line-up next year when the BS-VI emission norms come into effect. All motorcycles and scooters, as told by Y.S Guleria, Senior VP, Sales & Marketing, Honda Motorcycles and Scooters India to IAB, would receive fuel injection technology that would reduce the emissions and improve the fuel economy.

Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India will introduce more significant revisions to its line-up in with the BS-VI upgrade in 2020.

In February, Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India's President and Chief Executive, Minoru Kato, said in an interview in February that not all models will be upgraded to BS-VI. He did not reveal the models that will be axed, though.
