The much awaited Mercedes GLC luxury SUV and the electric variant of the Mahindra Verito are launching in the Indian market today. Other than prices, nearly every detail on the two models have been made public. Below is a summary of the two products launching today.

Mercedes GLC

The arrival of the Mercedes GLC in India will help bridge the gap between the Mercedes GLA and GLE, and answer to rivals such as the Audi Q5 and BMW X3. The Mercedes GLC will be initially sold as a limited run of CBU units dubbed as GLC Edition 1, before entering local assembly at their plant in Pune.

Both models are paired to a new 9G TRONIC automatic gearbox as well as a 4MATIC AWD system.

Mahindra e-Verito

After over 4 years since Mahindra unveiled the full electric variant of the Mahindra Verito sedan at the Auto Expo 2012, it will go on sale today. It is the second EV from the Mahindra Group, with first being the Mahindra e2o.
