Suzuki Super Carry premieres in Nigeria, is a CKD kit shipped from India

Targets first time buyers operating small businesses as well as farmers and fishermen.

Last month, Boulos Enterprises, Suzuki's authorised dealer in Nigeria, announced that it will launch the Suzuki Super Carry in the country in October. Now, Suzuki Nigeria's website has been updated with domestic specifications of the new LCV.

A choice of 23 different rear units will be available for the Carry in Nigeria.

The Nigerian-spec Suzuki Super Carry measures 3.8 metres in length and 1.56 metres in width and has a ground clearance of 175 mm. The cargo bed length, width and height are marked at 2,183 mm, 1,488 mm and 300 mm respectively, and the vehicle's load capacity if 750 kg.

The Nigerian-spec Suzuki Super Carry comes from India in CKD form, and is assembled at the 1,132 square metre facility in Lagos. The company's target customers are first time buyers operating small businesses as well as farmers and fishermen, who can use the LCV as an economical people mover or for goods transportation. The rear body units will be 100% locally made.

A choice of 23 pods will be available, including van, refrigerated van, pick-up, six-seater people carrier, mobile shop, tipper unit, hopper, dustbin/trash van, ice cream shop, ambulance, fire engine and more.

The Nigerian-spec Suzuki Super Carry will be powered by the G12B 54 kW (72.39 hp) 1.2-litre turbocharged four-cylinder petrol engine.

In Nigeria, the Suzuki Super Carry will be powered by the G12B 1.2-litre turbocharged four-cylinder petrol engine that produces 54 kW (72.39 hp) at 6,000 rpm and 101 Nm of torque at 3,000 rpm. The Euro 2 engine will be linked to a 5-speed manual transmission.
