TVS Motor has scheduled a press conference in Chennai today, where it will unveil the TVS Apache RTR 200 4V and the all-new TVS Victor. Both motorcycles will also have their market launches today.
The all-new Apache RTR 200 is reported to be powered by a single-cylinder 197.75 cc air-and-oil-cooled engine capable of 20.23 hp and 18.1 Nm of torque, paired to a 5-speed gearbox. The kerb weight of the new Apache is pegged at 148 kg.
The new Apache will sport a single exhaust with twin outlets, black alloy wheels inspired by the TVS Draken concept, an LED taillight, a fully-digital instrument cluster, clip-on handlebars, split seats and is expected to come in six colors. The ex-Showroom price of the motorcycle is expected to be under INR 1 lakh.
On the other end of the spectrum, the all-new TVS Victor will aim to significantly increase the manufacturer's share in the commuter segment. According to reports, the new Victor could be positioned in the 110-125 cc segment, and is likely to share mechanicals with the TVS Star City+.
Expect the all-new Victor to be offered with an optional front disc brake, LED taillight, alloy wheels and subtle body graphics. Industry estimates ball park its price under INR 60,000, ex-Showroom.
