According to the report, the Bajaj Urbanite electric scooter will be positioned at the "very high, prestigious, and luxurious" end of the market. While details are unknown at the moment, Bajaj Auto could leverage technology from KTM.

The Bajaj Urbanite electric scooter will be a premium offering and could retail around INR 1 lakh (ex-showroom). It will rival the Ather 450, Twenty-Two Motors Flow and the Okinawa Praise electric scooters.

TVS Ntorq 150 Maxi-Scooter

The upcoming 150cc maxi-scooter will share design cues with TVS ENtorq 210 (pictured).

A report from July 2018 claimed that TVS Motor Company is developing a flagship 150cc maxi-scooter that will be launched in India before the end of this year. The maxi-scooter scooter will take design cues from the TVS ENtorq 210, which debuted at the Auto Expo 2016.

The scooter is likely to be christened as the TVS Ntorq 150. The Ntorq 150 will be powered by an all-new 150cc single-cylinder, 4-valve, fuel injected motor that will be mated to a CVT gearbox. Power figures are unknown at the moment. The scooter could retail around INR 1 lakh (ex-showroom).

The TVS Ntorq 150 will be a global offering that will form a catalyst for the company to raise its brand value in the global markets. The scooter is likely to receive features like LED headlight, TFT instrument cluster with Smartphone connectivity and single-channel ABS. The Ntorq 150 will rival the likes of Suzuki Burgman Street, Aprilia SR 150 and the Vespa 150 among others.

Lambretta V125

The Lambretta V125 Special will be a direct rival to the Vespa LX 125 and the VX 125.

Lambretta scooters are set to re-enter the Indian market this year. The company is likely to introduce the Lambretta V125 in the country, followed by the Lambretta V200. The company will reportedly showcase an electric scooter in India at the Auto Expo 2020.

The Lambretta V125 features a modern retro design and will rival the Vespa LX 125. The V125 receives LED headlamp and taillight, 12V charging socket, and a semi-digital instrument cluster.

The Lambretta V125 uses a 124.7 cc motor that pumps out 10 bhp of power and 9.20 Nm of peak torque. The engine is paired with a belt-driven CVT gearbox. The scooter will feature a front disc and rear drum setup with CBS.

Lambretta V200 could compete with the Vespa VXL 150. It uses a 168.9cc motor that outputs 12 bhp and 12.5 Nm of power.

The Lambretta V200 could follow as a niche offering after the V125 is introduced in India. While it won't have any direct competition, the V200 will rival the Vespa VXL 150. The scooter is similar in design to the Lambretta V125 and is available in two versions (V & V Special) internationally.

Features and equipment list is similar to the V125. However, being a premium scooter, it features ABS as standard. The Lambretta V200 employs a 168.9 cc, fuel-injected, single-cylinder engine that is capable of churning out 12.1 PS of power and 12.5 Nm of peak torque. The Euro 4 compliant motor is mated to a CVT.
