Images of what some are claiming to be the Datsun GO Cross have surfaced online. The images shared by AutonetMagz show a Datsun GO+ with crossover-like features fueling speculation that this might be the final production form of the Datsun GO Cross concept.
According to the Indonesia publication, this here is a heavily accessorized version of the GO+ MPV and not the GO Cross as some claim. In terms of appearance, the accessories seem to have been inspired by design elements of the GO Cross concept. The car pictured here features similar black inserts, rear underbody protection and roof rails as the concept.
The actual model, reportedly arriving in Indonesia before the end of 2017, is expected to look much different than just a GO+ with some protective cladding and roof rails. Reports also claim that it will feature a very different dashboard design as well.
Datsun is expected to use the GO/GO+'s 1.2 L Petrol engine for the GO Cross as well in Indonesia. Aside from a 5-speed manual transmission, the crossover is likely to get a CVT as well.
